PG armoring level 3 y PG level 3 - B33 Multi-hit- Recommended against la common crime. Most commonly used in cities
Armor level 3 is suitable for those who want to prevent crimes such as assault or express kidnapping, perpetrated without planning by common criminals, and is the most used in cities, because it is committed with low-cost weapons easily available on the black market.
Resists impacts de proyectiles from .22 caliber up to the Beretta, Magnum 44 and others, including submachine guns like the Uzi that uses 9mm bullets.
Armor with acero y/o fibras
Un armor de level 3 puede realizarse mediante distintas combinaciones:
- Empleando fibras aramidas o polímeras, with a useful life of several years to stop shots with the specified projectiles and weapons.
- Empleandoacero balístico especial light, with a higher percentage of manganese thanks to which it gains resistance, y una vida útil unlimited for resistir disparos with los proyectiles y armas señalados. Además, este acero balístico brinda protection against la pistola FiveseveN y la subametralladora P90, ambas específicamente diseñadas for penetrar blindajes de fibras sintéticas.
- Uwithoutg a combination of ballistic steel in the vehicle cabin, and synthetic fibers for the roof. Given the angle involved in shooting at the roof del vehículo, las fibras sintéticas aumentan su resistencia al tener que ser penetradas de manera oblicua.
The ballistic steel we use comes from specialized manufacturers and is certified by the world leader:HP White, an independent laboratory expert in ballistic resistance and quality withtrol in armoring.
Armor de cristales
There are two types of armored glass for this level:
- El cristal blindadoSun Advancewith un espesor de 35mm. A diferencia de lo que ocurre in the national market, nosotros no usamos el cristal blindado tradicional, que tiene la desventaja de que pierde up to en un 50% su resistencia a disparos después de dos horas de exposición al sol. Nuestros cristales mantienen su resistencia without importar el tiempo de exposición al sol.
- El cristal blindado B33Multi-hit, high-tech, which is not affected by sunlight, resists 6 times more shots than traditional ones (incluso de armas más potentes) y es more thanlgado (22 mm) y ligero.
La diferencia en precios between B33 Multi-hit and Sun Advance is very small, especially if you take into account its advantages. That is why at Protecto Glass we recommend el empleo del cristal blindado Twintek.
Differences between PG 3 and PG 3-B33 Multi-hit levels
The difference is only in the glass we use:
- PG level 3 uses Sun Advance glass.
- PG level 3 - B33 uses Multi-hit glass.
Suitable vehicles for this armor level
Un armor level 3 with synthetic fibers increases the vehicle weight from 130 to 175 kg.; with acero balístico el incremento ranges from los 170 a los 370 kg. En ambos pueden usarse automóviles with motor de 2 litros en adelante, with una afectación muy baja al desempeño y la maniobrabilidad del vehículo.
Correspondence with other armor standards
El armor PG level 3 corresponde al level IIIA del National Institute of Justice (NIJ), al level europeo BR4 del Comité Européen de Normalisation (CEN) y a la Norma Oficial Mexicana B plus.
